Finally – a post about something other than food! 😉
I recently discovered a great new DVD workout series called . Exciting for a couple of reasons:
1.) I used to take a Pilates Reformer class once a week at my gym. I absolutely loved the class, but my bank account didn’t care for the extra $250 every 8 weeks on top of my gym membership dues (blah). Hopefully I can start up again soon once (if I ever have) a disposable income, but in the meantime, this is definitely getting the job done.
2.) I’ve wanted to change up my workout routines and add variety for some time now. I have my bike, and get a swim in about once a week, but this is a great full-body workout I can do in my tiny apartment and really work up a sweat. All good in my book.
Piloxing, founded by Viveca Jensen, is a non-stop interval combination of pilates, boxing and dance. I ordered which comes half-pound weighted gloves, three 50-minute DVD workouts, as well as two 15-minute power sculpting DVDs for the days you don’t have a full 50 minutes to work out. It also comes with a nutritional guide and training schedule to help guide you.
What’s great about this series is that it’s a fun, high-intensity workout where I can feel the burn throughout and I’m not counting the minutes until it’s over (which I definitely do during some workouts). I also enjoy following Piloxing on to get recipe ideas and see the success stories.
Ladies, if you’re looking for a new workout, I highly recommend Piloxing!
