When I first met Aaron, he was overwhelmed with pressure, confusion, and fear, disconnected from his peers and pushing away the people who wanted to help him most. By helping him see the causes of his struggles—and revealing a new path forward—he left as a secure, confident young man, connected to friends and family and embarking on a fulfilling career.

Avi, a 19-year-old teen when I met him, had been labeled with learning disabilities (along with ADD) from a young age. This not only created struggles in school but also cut away at his self esteem and confidence. As a result, Avi turned to drugs and alcohol as an escape, surrounding himself with friends who encouraged his destructive behaviors.
As concerned parents, Avi’s mother and father enrolled him in a program after high school to fix the situation. Sadly, the drug use continued, which eventually led to an arrest. It was at this point that his parents heard me speak at an event and arranged for me to meet him.
Kerri’s parents were at a loss. Not only did the school call weekly, but the troubling behavior began to carry over to the home, where Kerri played parent against parent, so much so that their marriage was in danger of falling apart. Holding back tears as best she could, her mother simply said, “I just don’t know what happened to the sweet girl who used to be my daughter.”
