Rodrigo Gracie is the son of Jiu-Jitsu Grandmaster Reylson Gracie and grandson of the founder of Jiu-Jitsu in Brasil, Carlos Gracie. Rodrigo began training Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 4. He Started teaching Gracie Jiu-Jitsu at age 12 and was awarded the black belt at the age of 18 under his father. He started his MMA fight career in 2000. He is an Abu Dhabi, Pride and K1 Champion. He resides in Los Angeles and trains with his cousin Royce Gracie.
The Rodrigo Gracie Jiu Jitsu program at Fusion Training Academy is headed up by Chris Ward.
Chris’ first day of training Jiu Jitsu was with Royce Gracie and he has been with the Gracie family ever since; receiving his belt directly from them. Chris’ extensive training in gi, no gi and mixed martial arts has helped him develop an extensive network of great teachers and training partners. He enjoys imparting his knowledge to students and witnessing their growth.
