If you had told me two years ago that someday I would start a blog, I probably would have chuckled and thought to myself, “that person clearly doesn’t know me very well”, but here I am starting a blog and I couldn’t be more excited!
I was first introduced to the blogging world through the ever-addicting social media platform that is Instagram. I found myself following more and more people who inspired me, whether it be through their fitness achievements (who doesn’t love a good #transformationtuesday?!), travel adventures, or motivational words, I was blown away by the amount of influence these people were able to attain and more so the impact they had on my own life. Eventually, I found my way onto many of my favorite influencer’s blog sites, and through these sites, I’ve discovered some of my favorite books, developed new ideas about healthy eating and workout routines, planned day trips and even entire vacations, and been continuously motivated and inspired.
As I developed this newfound hobby (or addiction) of reading blogs, I started to think what it would be like to have my own. I’ve never been one to put myself out there much on social media. It’s always felt so vulnerable to me to expose your most personal thoughts, photos, and parts of your life for the world to view and scrutinize, so that part scared me… At the same time though, I’ve always loved the challenge of building something new and the learning process that comes with it. Not to mention, I had gotten so much from reading what other people had to share, so I figured that if I could inspire another person in some small way and learn while doing it, than it was worth it.
I plan to use this blog to share a bit of my life – mostly the things that I find inspiring, fascinating, and that make me happy, so thank you SO much for reading my first ever blog post!! I guess that wasn’t as hard as I thought… There will hopefully be many more to come 🙂
