5pts Hey ! I wish I found this website before I started, because now I'm a bit confused. I'm on my 3rd week for p90x, and it is really tough, but I'm slowly starting to keep up with it. I do see some results, but not as much as I expected. I feel like I should have started with power 90, drop some weight, and continue with p90x like how you guys did. My main goal is to lose about 30-40 lbs. I'm not that concerned about sculpting just yet, I'm more concerned about losing weight first. However, I'm already 3 weeks in of p90x, and I don't know how I feel about stopping it and starting a whole new workout. Any advice on what I should do ? 5pts Yep it sounds like you are really close! 5pts I'm at 13-14% body fat now and weigh 178. The next 10 to 15 lbs. might make all the difference. I'll keep you posted. 5pts Hey John! I am 5' 11" as well and I now weight 168 pounds at 8% body fat. Way to go on your success! Once I got to a certain point my abs seemed to suddenly appear (about 10-12% body fat) 5pts Thanks for this. I've been debating for a long time between the two. I'm currently 305lbs and I feel I'm not ready for the intensity of P90X yet. Going to get Power 90 and use that to prepare me for P90X. 5pts Thanks for this. What weight are you at now? I'm down 60, but my abs are still hiding just below the surface. 5pts I too started with Power 90. P90X would have killed me and I don't think I would have stuck with it for long. I did P90 for 60 days and then jumped to P90X. I'm on a 1700 calorie diet and have lost 60 lbs. in 5 months. It worked for me and probably will for others too. 5pts I too started with Power 90. would have killed me and I don't think I would have stuck with it for long. So yes, I dont feel ready to really beat myself up with the extreme version and so P90 seems a good start. I have set my goals at losing 50lbs in the 180 days (1 round P90 and 1 round P90x). If I do that I will be at target weight. What happens then I dont know (apart from not going back to where I am now). Mainly I want to be pain free, able to move freely, have more energy and live longer. I'm not so motivated by the "beach body six pack" and all that. Really looking forward to it and I will let you know how I get on best wishes 5pts Thanks Rick! Power 90 is a great choice... You will want to do something you know you can stick with. P90X is definitely my new favorite, but I was well prepared for it by doing Power 90 first. 5pts Thanks Rick! Power 90 is a great choice... Thanks for the detailed description of the differences between P90 and P90x. I reckon I am in no way ready for the intensity of P90x so I am planning to do P90 first and then see if I am ready to step it up Congrats on your results and thanks again for the inspiration 5pts Thanks for the info. I have been doing P90x, Insanity, and 1-on-1s for over a year. I have Power90 coming as I wanted to get a taste of the original. This is really helpful. Thanks! 5pts Hi Stacie! Yes we did the workouts as a couple as well. I have the Bowflex Adjustable set which we shared sometimes (we would pause the video if we did). Tekoa also had 5,8,and 10 pound Dumbbells that she used as well. 5pts Thanks Amanda! :) 5pts Hi Sarah - Since you are 3 weeks in I think you can stick with P90X. You might need to make some adjustments to your nutrition. Check out this post. It will probably help you: What calorie target are you shooting for and how tall are you?
